How Daily Grind Rust collects, uses, and protects your data across its Rust servers and websites — aligned with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR.
Daily Grind Rust is a community-operated network of modded Rust game servers and companion websites, run by hobbyist administrators from the United Kingdom. The network currently comprises Daily Grind 3x (dailygrind3x.com) and Daily Grind 2x (dailygrind2x.com), with the network hub at dailygrindrust.com. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, the operator of Daily Grind Rust is the “data controller” responsible for your personal data.
We only collect what we need to run our servers, show stats, keep play fair, and let you log in. What applies to you depends on how you use the service.
Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your data. Ours are:
Some information is, by design, visible to anyone on our websites. Please keep this in mind while you play and chat:
We keep cookies to an absolute minimum.
We do not sell your data. We share limited data only with the service providers (“processors”) needed to run the service:
Some providers (such as Steam, Discord, and Cloudflare) operate outside the UK, so your data may be transferred internationally. Where it is, we rely on the safeguards UK law recognises — such as UK “adequacy” regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Standard Contractual Clauses — and on those providers’ own compliance frameworks.
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within one month, as required by law. Some data (such as ban records) may be retained where we have a lawful reason — for example, to prevent ban evasion.
Rust is a mature, violent game (rated PEGI 16). Daily Grind Rust servers are not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from under-16s. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy as the network evolves. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version, and significant changes may also be announced in our Discord.
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator:
